Why did the demo end before two hours?
- A story milestone was reached: the trial can end before two hours. The store does not name the cutoff quest, so this guide cannot tell you exactly which objective to postpone.
- An older save reached its original limit: Frozen Way says the two-hour extension needs a new save. Loading that old save is not the same as starting again.
- The game closed or displayed an error: record the message. An unexpected crash is not proof that you reached the demo limit; use startup and crash help.
Can I restart and play again?
Yes. Steam says starting a new game resets the timer and can be repeated without a stated replay limit. Each new run still has the time and story cutoffs.
- Install any available demo update through Steam.
- Start a new game rather than continuing the older save. Read any overwrite prompt before accepting if you want to keep your previous run.
- Use the new run to try the activities you missed. Restarting does not remove the story cutoff.
The developer reply calls for a new save; it does not instruct you to delete the entire save folder.
Will my demo save transfer to the full game?
Save transfer has not been confirmed in the sources checked here. Keep your existing save if you want to preserve it, but plan for the possibility of starting again in the full game.
