Sota7 has four officially classified zones: the Valley, Headlands, Pass and Aquatic Zone. Start with the Valley for early fieldwork; use the region links below to find resources. The Pass is described as an end-of-progression area, not an opening destination.
Choose a region for your objective
- The Valley — early food, textile plants and observation: open clearings, forest and marsh habitats. The survey rates it low risk, but nests and Scorchweaver remain hazards.
- The Headlands — cave plants and shed horns: Cobalt Sargent in caves; Imperial Strider around stone formations. Mixed danger and raw-poisonous wetland plants call for preparation.
- The Pass — late-region food and research: Earth Filoy near lakes and clay uplands; Prism Nut in forest pockets with a thirst cost. The later regional survey classifies it as extreme risk.
- The Aquatic Zone — coastal and submerged environments: named in the official classification, with reconnaissance incomplete. No verified access route or underwater resource list is supplied here.
Know the species, but not where to look?
Use the habitat lookup to narrow a region to clearings, caves, marshes or a soil type. For a named target, plant entries and creature entries provide direct location and caution notes.
A region is the broad area; a habitat is the smaller environment within it. The same word, such as “lake,” can occur in more than one region, so keep both clues together.
Is there a map or unlock route here?
These guides organize official survey information; they are not a coordinate map. The surveys do not establish exact entrances, fast-travel points or a complete sequence of unlock requirements.
- Choose a target and read its region plus habitat.
- Confirm the species name when you find it, rather than relying only on appearance.
- Record a recognizable nearby landmark for your return trip.
- Check the requirements shown by your current objective before entering an unfamiliar area.
This is suggested route-planning practice, not a tested walkthrough.
